Modernization of the Logistics Supply Chain
In addition to new innovative production processes and sustainable packaging, the renewal of the logistics supply chain was on the agenda. The software already in use for the delivery of the company's own brands was to be replaced by modern, future-proof devices with easy-to-use software.
OntegoGL already covered most processes and could also be supplemented with individual extensions. The interface to the leading ERP system INTEGRA from Orga-Soft could continue to be used and has been included in the OntegoGL standard for a long time.
Familiar Functions Become Part of the Software
The drivers at Bad Dürrheimer Mineralbrunnen were already accustomed to mobile devices for their tours. They had grown fond of certain functions and showed high standards regarding the realization of the future software based on OntegoGL. For instance, the display of partial pallets was added, enabling the driver to see across how many pallets the full goods for the respective customer are distributed.
They were also demanding when it came to technology: the Huawei devices used are lightning-fast and feature a special backup option. Data is constantly backed up on an SD card so that a quick switch to a replacement device can be made in the event of damage.
